Comparison

FotoMe AI vs Samaro

Which is the better fit for delivering event photos your guests can find themselves?

Samaro is an AI photo sharing and event platform combining facial recognition, a WhatsApp bot, camera-to-cloud delivery, 4K video and digital invitations with RSVP.

Everything below about Samaro comes from Samaro's own website, read on 3 September 2026. Where we could not verify something first-hand, this page says so instead of guessing. Products change — check their site before you decide.

What Samaro costs

Not published publicly.

Samaro does not publish a pricing page we could read — their site directs visitors to sign up rather than to plan details, and mentions discounts on "Personal" and "Business" plans without stating either. Third-party articles quote figures, but we have not been able to confirm any of them first-hand and will not repeat them here.

What FotoMe AI costs

Six tiers from free to ₹9,999, charged once per event rather than monthly. Every plan and its storage, photo and gallery-access limits are on the pricing page, before you create an account.

Where Samaro is the better choice

If any of these matter to your work, choose theirs. We would rather you did than found out after paying us.

  • WhatsApp as a delivery and engagement channel.
  • Camera-to-cloud. Ours is designed but not built — see the camera-to-cloud design doc.
  • Video of any kind, where Samaro offers native 4K.
  • Digital invitations and RSVP, which are a different product line we do not intend to enter.
  • Guest media collection.

Where FotoMe AI is the better choice

Each of these is something you can check on a free event before paying anything.

  • Published pricing. You can see every FotoMe AI plan and its limits before creating an account.
  • No account for guests. Open the link, take a selfie, see your photos — no password, no email, no app. Samaro also skips the login; most of the category does not.
  • Per-event billing with stated storage, photo and retention limits per plan.
  • A gallery design system applied per event rather than one gallery theme per studio.
  • An explicit deletion lifecycle: a stated close date, warning emails, then purge — and renewing reopens the gallery.

What Samaro does well

A comparison page that finds nothing good to say about the other product is an advertisement, not a comparison. These are real strengths, from their own site.

Questions people actually ask

Is FotoMe AI a full alternative to Samaro?

Not across the whole surface. Samaro spans invitations, RSVP, WhatsApp engagement, camera-to-cloud and 4K video as well as face-matched delivery. FotoMe AI does one part of that — getting each guest the photos they appear in — and does not intend to become an event-planning suite. If you want one tool for the whole event, Samaro covers more ground.

What does FotoMe AI do that Samaro does not?

It publishes its prices. Every plan, its storage and photo limits and how long the gallery stays open are on the pricing page before you sign up. Beyond that: a per-event gallery design system, per-photo share links that preview the photo in chat, and a stated retention and deletion lifecycle with warning emails before anything is purged.

Does FotoMe AI send photos over WhatsApp?

No. Guests get an email when new photos matching their face are added. Samaro’s WhatsApp bot is a real advantage for reaching guests in markets where WhatsApp is the default, and we do not match it today.
